Welcome to the 2016 – 2017 USAD Pentathlon Mathematics Resource Guide! This guide offers an overview of some of the most important topics covered in middle school math curriculum. The topics this year include Algebra and an Introduction to Trigonometry. As you read through this guide, you may encounter information that you have already learned or new information that will put you one step ahead for your future math classes.
Section 1 focuses on Algebra. This section includes the following topics: Solving Equations, Linear Equa-tions and Functions, Inequalities, Exponents, Quadratic Equations, Polynomials and Factoring.
